I Would Like To Have My Wedding On The Water Part 2

I was going to finish my post yesterday, but i was sidetracked.  The other venues i wanted to tell you about are:

Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, WI.  This venue can accomodate 100 - 300 people.  You can have your ceremony outside and your reception inside.  They also have a long list of activities so all of your guests will stay busy.  This place would be perfect for a "wedding weekend".  They also cater for the Lake Geneva Cruise Line where you can have a cocktail reception or a buffet dinner.

Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, WI.  This venue is not as big as Grand Geneva Resort, but it is just as beautiful.  The landscaping is flawless.  The main room will hold 100 comfortably, they also have The Inns Of Geneva National.  Six inns, each offering six private deluxe guest rooms, two great rooms with fireplaces, floor to ceiling windows and so much more!

I Would Like To Have My Wedding On The Water

Here are two venues that i like, in the Rockford/Beloit area, for a wedding and reception on the water.  I know there is Cliffbreakers and don't get me wrong, I love Cliffbreakers, but sometimes you want to do something different.  So here are two venues that are different.

The first venue is The University Club located on the river, of course, on North Main Street.  If you are looking to have 200 people to your wedding/reception then this venue is not for you.  One hundred people will fit, if you are having a buffet, if you are having a sit-down reception then 80 people will fit comfortably.  They also have a room that you can have your bridal shower in.  Go and check it out, it's perfect for an intimate wedding.

The second venue is The Beloit Inn.  Beloit has been going through a revitalization of their downtown area.  This place is beautiful, with clean and spacious rooms for you and your guests to stay in.  This venue can fit 120 guests.  Just to let you know, this is a boutique hotel, so rooms are limited.  Make sure you call way ahead of time to get your rooms.
