Looking around the blogs today i found a couple of interesting things.  Take a look at this:

 

Over at the Marie Claire blog they have pictures of Ivanka Trump and her new husband.  The dress is gorgeous!  It was made by Vera Wang and it was inspired by Grace Kelly's wedding dress.  I love it!

And over at Bride Tide they have a picture of a groom's cake that is absolutely unbelievable!  The cake was made by Duff at Ace of Cakes.  You won't believe your eyes, it is a life-size replica of a motorcycle!  And on top of that they had a ten-tiered wedding cake!

 

Couple Denied Marriage License

A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have.

Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interrracial marriages do not last long.

Neither Bardwell nor the couple immediately returned phone calls from the Associated Press.  But Bardwell told the Daily Star of Hammond that he was not a racist.

"I do ceremonies for black couples right here in my house," Bardwell said.  "My main concern is for the children." More...

Wedding Shooter - Update

Patrick Paul DuVall, who prosecutors say shot a bride, groom and two guests at an outdoor wedding in Russellville, Arkansas in May, 2008, has entered a not guilty plea to four counts of first-degree battery.  All four counts are felonies.  An attorney for DuVall, says that his client is an Iraq war veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and has no prior criminal record.

All four victims have since been released from the hospital.  No trial date has been set.

Bride and Groom Shot at Outdoor Wedding!

Hello ladies, here is an unbelievable story.  Authorities in Arkansas say a man approached an outdoor wedding and shot the bride, groom and two guests.  Outraged guests then chased the suspect into a Russellville restaurant parking lot and held him until police arrived to take him into custody.

The suspect, Patrick Paul Duval, approached the wedding and opened fire with a 9-millimeter pistol.  Authorities say the suspect "was not associated with the wedding at all".

The bride, groom and a third victim remain hospitalized, the fourth victim was treated and released.

Bride Sued by Mother In Law

Hello ladies, i hope all of you have a good relationship with your future mother in law.  Take a look at this situation:  A bride who said "i don't" is getting sued by her former fiance's family.  Jennifer Wilson was supposed to marry Mike Oberthaler in September, but Wilson called off the nuptials last year after a fight.

Earthquake Wedding

Hello ladies, well just thank God your not one of the brides in this picture.  They are starting off their married life in the middle of a disaster.

The five couples were at an abandoned catholic seminary, a popular destination for wedding photos to be taken, when the earthquake struck.  The photo shows the young women in their wedding dresses dusty and shaken with the collapsed building behind them.  The photographer, Wang Qiang and the five couples all escaped injury.

Here she is, what a gorgeous dress.  Simple and elegant, that is how an outdoor wedding should be.  Their is beautiful detail on the Oscar De La Renta organza dress and she kept it simple with a short train and no veil which is key for an outdoor wedding.  She also kept it simple and elegant with her hair and bouquet, with small white flowers in her hair and all white flowers in the bridal bouquet.  For jewelry she wore small crystal earrings.

Hollywood Weddings

I don't know what it is about Hollywood weddings.  They kinda creep me out.  Don't get me wrong, i love it when people get married.  And i have to say, i love their perseverance.  But it always seems kind of fake when they do.  Here is a new one:  Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon.  They tied the knot and they only knew each other for 1 month!  Go here Holly Scoop

Wedding In Space

Richard Branson and Virgin Galactic are going to offer weddings in space.  I know it sounds like an episode of "Star Trek" (i'm dating myself).  Go here for all of the details from Daily Mail.  I think having the bride and groom throw up would be unattractive at a wedding.  What do you think?
